I left a six figure salary, a wonderful team and the security of a corporate salary because my soul was rung out. Literally. I knew there was a better way of working. One that really supported people to thrive. One that enabled people to follow their dreams and earn a livelihood.
I was fed up and frustrated of wasting my time and energy and trying to persuade people of a certain position that there was a better way of doing things. That change would set us all free and be better for the bottom line. Then I realised I was trying to convince the wrong audience.
I founded Simply JP with a desire to help businesses improve the ease at which they achieve their profits and increase the impact they have on people and planet by bringing more JOY & SOUL into the workplace. It isn’t rocket science, anyone who tries to tell you it is (with a big invoice to match), run in the opposite direction. The simple methodology is better relationships. A better healthier relationship with yourself and a better understanding of how to cultivate healthier relationships with others. The rest you can learn in text books.
I know first hand how rewarding it is taking a broken team and building it back to performing again. Seeing others thrive, even leave your organisation, because they figure out (with your support) that they were always in the wrong job in the first place.
My work is grounded in three simple philosophies
- Be more you
- Speak the truth
- Live and work courageously
I weave over 20 years experience in various roles at Vodafone and several years consulting with brands such as Intermarketing, Asda, TomTom, BT, Channel4, The Watermill Theatre. I always say I’ve had three careers, a commercial one, a leadership one developing others and more recently the wellbeing one.
I am professionally qualified (Chartered Institute of Marketing, Institute of Direct Marketing and a qualified practitioner in NLP). I am also a certified DiSC psychometric practitioner a member of the Association for Coaching and hold a second degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. None of this matters if you and I don’t feel we have the chemistry to really work together well.
Don’t just take my word for it, check out what other people think of the work I’ve done.
